Rogicha Natural // Kercha, Ethiopia // 10oz
To pair with this incredible coffee, we had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with visual artist, Saloan Goodwin. Her work is elegant, bold, and unashamedly steeped in Black style and culture. Through her art, Saloan takes life, beauty, and joy of being Black and portrays that to bring hope and light into tough times such as these - a theme that we hope is communicated through this joining of art and coffee.
We will be donating 100% of the proceeds of this release to organizations that are actively working to better the lives of Black People in their respective communities. Half of all the proceeds made from this release will be going to HEAL Charlotte, an incredible organization that is in the process of raising $10M to provide accessible affordable housing here in Charlotte, NC.
The remaining half will be shared with a handful of wholesale accounts that have partnered with us here and around the country. These accounts will be selecting organizations in their communities that they wish to support, and we will make a donation on their behalf.
We are a small roastery here in NC, but we feel a moral imperative to use our platform and market to educate, inform, and continue the momentum of creating lasting change that the Black Lives Matter movement, HEAL Charlotte, and other initiatives around the country are working hard to bring to fruition.
