José Eraldo Oliveira Dias // Espirito Santo, Brazil

José Eraldo, also known as Zé, has a really interesting story and connection to coffee producing in Brejetuba. When his grandfather acquired the families property in 1960 it was already planted with coffee. The farm is in a particularly cold, higher altitude area, which makes producing coffee more challenging; but the family has never given up despite many agricultural and financial challenges.

The real turning point of the farm came in 1997 when the region began focusing not just on volumes but also quality. Immediately the Eraldo family started investing in quality and saw positive results. Despite the low productivity due to the unfavorable climatic conditions, the coffee produced on Zé's farm cupped well and stood out for the quality.

The property comprises 8 hectares, of which 2 hectares are reserved for forest.
