La Muralla is an informal group of young producers in numerous veredas throughout San Agustín, a municipality in the far south of Huila.  Most producers are far younger than the average age and with that youth comes energy and excitement for the production of specialty coffee.

The municipality of San Augustín boasts a rich cultural heritage, known by its many pre-Colombian archeological sites.  The original village was founded in 1752 but attacks by the local indigenous people eventually destroyed it.  The present village was later established in 1790.  Situated within the Andes Mountains of southern Colombia, the rich volcanic soil, paired with the favorable altitude and growing conditions, and the passion of these young producers, La Muralla boasts a sweet profile rich with character and nuance.
