Robert Cabrera is a fourth generation coffee farmer and purchased his farm in 2007. He uses a semi-washed, or “honey” process in order to minimize the impact of his coffee on the environment.
“The honey process saves a lot of water, and for that reason I prefer it. It also allow me to offer a differentiated product and to earn a higher price than washed coffees earn.”
It’s producers like Cabrera -- forward thinking and intentional, that inspire us to continue to refine and perfect our side of the chain. He’s constantly challenging the way he does things and pushing himself to do better each day, and we will too.
