Duverney Sánchez Suns - Pink Bourbon // Cauca, Colombia

Duverney Sánchez Suns is a second-generation coffee grower who has been growing coffee for 20 years. His finca El Palacio sits at 1,900 meters and spans a total surface area of one and a half hectares, all planted with Caturra and Pink bourbon coffee trees.  Duverney is passionate about his coffees, and hopes to one day meet the roasters who choose to buy his coffee and visit their coffee shops.  Of course, we’ll gladly welcome him on that day.

For this lot cherry was hand-selected before being floated for density, de-pulped, and then fermented in a cement tank with water.  Wet parchment was rinsed three times and put out to dry on raised beds inside a parabolic dryer for 15 days.
